Each spring scores of halibut migrate from the open Pacific to coastal Alaskan waters for the summer. These colossal flatfish skim the ocean floor, stopping at favored ambush points to gorge themselves on unsuspecting squid, octopus, and herring that move with the dramatic currents and tides. Your knowledgeable and experienced guide will take you to where the halibut lurk.

A Family Opportunity
Ketchikan's tranquil inlets provide the perfect opportunity for your family to wrestle with these open ocean brutes. Along with halibut fishing, this trip will allow for the possibility of intimate sightings of bald eagles, seals, whales, deer, and bears. It will be an experience sure to leave an ingrained impression upon the whole family.

A Sandy Plateau
A halibut's body is 60% muscle. So the task of pulling even a 30-pound halibut from 100 to 300 feet of water is a challenge. Our Dacron line will allow you to know what's at the end of your line before it comes to the surface.

How Big Are They?
Average halibut come in between 15 and 40 pounds, with numerous guests each summer bringing in halibut over 100 lbs. We are the most highly recommended halibut tour in Southeast Alaska.
